Nothing smells like Thanksgiving quite like pumpkin bread in the oven. Second Graders put on their aprons, rolled up their sleeves and learned how to read a recipe. We filled the school with the tasty aroma of baking pumpkin bread.
We learned some of our friends like to sing while they bake.
Some friends couldn't believe the amount of sugar we needed.
We learned to crack eggs INTO the bowl and not ONTO the table.
It was an educational, real-life experience! We shared a loaf once they were finished baking. It was warm and delicious! Everyone took home a loaf to share with their families over the Thanksgiving holiday.
